Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Coffee

Medium Roast - Ethiopia is the country where coffee originated, centuries ago.  Ethiopian coffees most commonly found are Ethiopian Harrar and Ethiopian Sidamo, but the finest coffee Ethiopia produces is the lesser known Ethiopian Yirgacheffe (pronounced "Yer-ga-shef") coffee bean.  Ethiopian Yirgacheffe offers a uniquely intense, floral taste with a full body.

Coffee beans from Ethiopia are easily identified because they are smaller than most other coffee beans.  Ethiopian coffee is processed both by wet-processing and dry-processing, but our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans are processed only by wet-processing.  Wet-processing is a method of taking the coffee cherry down to the green coffee bean through a fermentation process by soaking in tanks for 3 days.  This method allows the coffee bean to retain more of its floral taste and high acidity level.
