Medium Roast - Our full-bodied Guatemalan coffee is a high quality SHB (strictly hard bean) coffee from the prized Amatitlan coffee region in Guatemala. SHB is the highest grade of coffee in Guatemala. Our Guatemala coffee offers a very aromatic, full-bodied brew with an excellent citrus acidity content. This coffee is simply the best Guatemala has to offer.
The Amatitlan region contains the land surrounding Lake Amititlan and is characterized by rich volcanic soil, a lot of rainfall and high humidity. Guatemalan Amititlan coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 4000 feet to 5900 feet above sea level. Our Guatemala beans are grown on small coffee farms and processed through co-ops made up of these small coffee farmers. Guatemala coffee has been relatively overlooked until the past few years, which have offered some wonderful coffee crops in this region.
