While we think of almonds and pecans as nuts, they come from completely different origins. We all know the South is revered for its seasonal orchard production of some of the finest pecans in the world, you may not know that almonds are not truly a nut and its origin is from the middle east. Almonds are actually a seed from the fruit of an almond tree, while we do consider the pecan as a traditional nut. Either way, the combination of almonds and pecans leads to a nutty flavor that is perfect for a flavored coffee blend.
