What is my shipping charge and how do I get free shipping?

For orders shipped within the U.S., except Alaska and Hawaii, we offer Flat Rate Shipping of $7.95 for orders under $75, and Free Shipping for orders of $75 or more.  For Alaska and Hawaii, please see our tiered shipping fee table on our Shipping Page.  We do not offer Free Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

How and when will my order be shipped?

Your order will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail for lighter weight orders and by UPS Ground for heavier shipments.  This can also be affected by your shipping zone distance from our shipping point in Indiana.  The choice of order method is at our discretion.  If you wish to place an order with expedited shipping, please contact us for a shipping quote prior to placing your order.  Most orders placed by noon (EST) will ship the same day.  Orders placed after noon (EST) will ship the following business day.  Orders are shipped on normal business days Monday through Friday.

What types of payments can I use?

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Do you charge sales tax?

We do not charge any sales tax.  Coffee is classified as a food product which is exempt from taxation.

Can I have my coffee ground at the same price as whole beans?

For 1 lb. bags and sampler packs, you can order your coffee as whole coffee beans or ground coffee at no additional cost.  You can make your selection when choosing your coffee.  Our 5 lb. bags are only sold as whole coffee beans.  Grinding is not available for our 5 lb. bags of coffee beans.

What coffee grind should I choose when purchasing a 1 lb. bag or sampler pack of coffee?

We offer four different coffee grind levels:

* Auto Drip Grind - for standard auto drip coffee makers.

* Percolator Grind - for old style percolator coffee makers.  The grind is slightly coarser than auto drip grind.

* French Press Grind - for use in a French press.  The grind is coarse so it won't slip through the screen on a French press.

* Fine Grind / Espresso - ground very fine for use with a home espresso machine.

Does flavored coffee contain sugar or artificial sweeteners?

Our flavored coffee does not contain any sugar, natural sweeteners, or artificial sweeteners.  The coffee is flavored using artificial coffee flavorings made specifically for flavoring coffee beans.  There are no calories or sugars in the flavorings.  Adding cream and sugar to your brewed coffee can enhance the flavor of the coffee.

Should I refrigerate or freeze coffee?

Coffee beans or ground coffee should never be frozen or placed in a refrigerator.  Coffee is porous and easily absorbs moisture and odors found in refrigerators and freezers.  Coffee is best stored by minimizing its exposure to air, light, and moisture, which all degrade the coffee.  Coffee should be stored in an air-tight, dry container away from light and humidity.  We recommend a vacuum style coffee container, such as "Coffee-Vac", which easily stores the coffee in a dry container that purges excess air.
