The high quality SHB coffee bean offers a more intense flavor of Costa Rican coffee consisting of a bright citrus flavor with the slightly higher acidity levels found in this coffee. A light-medium roast is the perfect roast level for this coffee bean allowing retention of the intense citrus flavor of this coffee.
Costa Rican coffee from the Tarrazu region is grown at higher altitudes, which produce the SHB providing a robust coffee flavor. The higher altitude allows the coffee beans to grow and develop at slower rates while inducing a more intense flavor within the coffee bean. The Tarrazu region offers the best coffee beans available from smaller coffee farms and plantations. Our Tarrazu coffee beans offer a medium body, rich taste and intense citrus flavor.
